25 Random Things You May Not Know About Me

I thought I would do something a bit different and have some fun with random  fun facts all about yours truly. I would recommend you do this with your close friends and family too, see what you find out!

  1. When I was little I hated it when people cut my fringe. You know when someone almost pokes you in the eye and you back away or flinch? Well some kind of similar reflex was going on there. I would raise my eyebrows when the hairdresser came to cutting my fringe. This resulted in an extremely short fringe. At least it saved on regular trims!
  2. I’m not a fussy eater but I don’t like poppy seeds, the smell of poppy seed cake in particular makes me feel nauseous.
  3. My all time favourite perfume is Yves Saint Laurent, Elle.
  4. When I was in primary school the class all entered a competition based around the premise of the phrase, “If I could be anywhere right now I would be…” and I won. I wrote about my family holiday to Tenerife. I remember writing so vividly about the beach and the blue waves. I guess my love for writing started maybe as young as 10. I won a pen as a gift. which was sadly left-handed so no good for my right handed-ness. I think my post was published somewhere on the internet or maybe just a local magazine, but I was so proud!
  5. I also wrote a’ book’ about a magic car that changed colours and flew around the world. I was wrong in number 4, I think I was maybe about 6 years old when I started writing! I don’t think that book will be winning any awards any time soon though.
  6. I’m of a Polish background. I can speak, write and read the language, although not as well as I would like to! It’s something I am trying to work on this year.
  7. I really enjoy the little things, like painting my nails and having a tidy room. It makes me feel put together and organised.
  8. When I find a song or album I like, I listen to it over and over again! But I am quite bad at remembering song lyrics. Especially rap songs, not that I rap the rap songs, but most of the time I have no clue what they are saying, so Google is my friend.
  9. I try to be kind to whoever I meet. It costs nothing.
  10. I am an extrovert, I like talking to new people.
  11. Starting this blog was quite scary. I started it nearly a year ago, in February 2017 but didn’t share it with anyone. I then posted again in August and more regularly in September 2017 where I decided to share it with the world, not just my family and friends! I have loved writing more often these last few months and am so happy I have stuck to it, getting over my fear of how it and I will be received day by day. I am so grateful for every one of you who spend a few minutes of your day to read it, ‘like’ it, follow it and comment on it.
  12. I love fashion. I am not ‘out there’ with fashion but some of my fashion icons include Grace Kelly, Olivia Palermo, Blake Lively, the Olsen Twins, Gigi Hadid and Victoria Beckham (but I can’t walk too well in those high heels like Posh!)
  13. Everyone in my family has a bit of an obsession with Michael Jackson.
  14. Spanish music will also ALWAYS be played at our family parties. So will Disco Polo; if you haven’t been to a Polish Wedding you just won’t know, but that’s okay!
  15. When I was 13 or 14 I played Fagin in my school’s production of ‘Oliver Twist’. Although I loved and still have a love for acting, I am awful at accents, so my cockney accent was replaced by an Eastern European one.
  16. I passed my driving test first time, I don’t remember how many minors.
  17. I have a degree in Psychology, but didn’t realise just how much science there was involved when I applied for the course. Stupid I know. I’m naturally weaker at Sciencer subjects, but I persevered and learned so much. Oh and no, I can’t read your mind!
  18. I’m quite bad with animals. I think they are cute and can appreciate having them as pets, but they kind of scare me. I will have a mini freak out if you ask me to hold your hamster, feed a horse or let a cat sit on my lap. What are those kitties thinking?! I used to be so scared of dogs when I was younger and even up until to about 16 years old I would say I ‘feared’ them, but I am getting so much better. Maybe one day I will own a pet dog, who knows.
  19. I check my Instagram, Facebook and the News on my phone, practically every morning as soon as I get up, before I am out of bed. I’m not the only one right?
  20.  I’ve become increasingly more scared of heights. I’ve hiked, climbed high ropes in the past and been fine. However I have noticed the last few summer’s when I have been on boat trips that when they let you jump off the boat into the sea, I get so PANICKED. Even the thought of this is making my hands clam up!
  21. I am not a very good swimmer and never really enjoyed the sea and the sand, always preferring a pool. However last year I really appreciated the sea (whilst not liking the jumping into it so much) and it’s something I think will be more of a thing in my 20’s. Regardless though, I have always loved a beach holiday any time of the year! I just generally prefer being hot than cold.
  22.  I learned to play guitar for about two months at school and didn’t stick to it. I can play a few chords but that’s it. I don’t think I have any natural rhythm as I find it quite hard to stay in time, quite hilariously so. I can’t really sing for that matter either!
  23. I’m good at remembering people’s names and love talking and listening to people. Maybe it’s something to do with being the youngest, you have to fight to be heard! Don’t be fooled though, I can talk your ear off if I want to!
  24. I’m currently listening to Sam Smith’s new album in my car and I 100% sing along when I drive. I am all of the backing singers, all at once, changing pitch and style simultaneously, I am Sam Smith and I am also his not-so- in-tune duet partner. I love every moment of it!
  25. Most importantly is the most intimate fact. I like my tea with a dash of milk, brewed for about 5 or 6 minutes and no sugar. You know you’re in with someone when you can say you know their tea order!

I hope you enjoyed my random fact blog post as much as I enjoyed writing it and looking back on old funny memories and the things I do day to day. If you write any posts like this be sure to tag me, I would love to have a read!
